CO2 CoolPeel™
The ONLY evidenced treatment to rejuvenate
SmartXide CO₂ laser resurfacing is one of the most powerful, results-driven treatments in modern aesthetic medicine for facial rejuvenation and skin resurfacing. At Clinic M, it’s our most treasured “peel” because it reliably targets the core causes of ageing and skin damage—fine lines and wrinkles, crepey texture, enlarged pores, acne scarring, sun damage and uneven skin tone—by stimulating fresh collagen remodelling where it matters most.
Skin resurfacing has been used for decades because the outcomes can be truly transformational, but traditional CO₂ treatments can come with significant downtime. That’s why we offer SmartXide CO₂ CoolPeel™—a more refined approach to CO₂ laser resurfacing designed to deliver visible brightness, smoother texture and a refreshed look with minimal downtime for the right candidate. And for patients seeking even more optimisation, we can combine your treatment with evidence-based Laser Assisted Drug Delivery (LADD): after fractional laser creates micro-channels in the skin, carefully selected actives are applied to help enhance penetration and support targeted goals such as pigmentation, texture, redness and post-laser recovery. The result is a smarter, personalised pathway to radiant, younger-looking skin—often with improvements you can see within days, and collagen benefits that continue to build over the following weeks.

Depth of Penetration of Facial:
Dramatic skin resurfacing starts with the right technology — and at Clinic M we use the world’s leading dermatological CO₂ laser, SmartXide CO₂, to deliver powerful, predictable rejuvenation with a modern approach to downtime and precision. CO₂ laser resurfacing remains one of the most effective facial rejuvenation techniques available because it visibly improves fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, enlarged pores, sun damage, uneven tone and rough textureby triggering deep collagen and elastin remodelling. It’s our most treasured peel because it works — consistently — and can be tailored to match your skin goals and recovery preferences.
What makes SmartXide CO₂ CoolPeel™ different is the ability to deliver the benefits of a traditional ablative resurfacing peel without the protracted two-week healing phase that deeper, more aggressive treatments can require. A CoolPeel™ can be repeated as part of a results-driven programme, often with around 3–4 days of downtime, and performed regularly (typically every 12 weeks) to build cumulative improvements in skin quality, clarity and firmness — delivering many of the advantages of larger, deeper peels with a more manageable recovery.
During treatment, SmartXide CO₂ creates microscopic channels in the skin using fractional resurfacing micro-beams that target tiny columns while leaving surrounding healthy tissue intact. This “fractional” pattern accelerates healing and promotes a smoother, more natural-looking result as new collagen forms. Crucially, SmartXide’s SmartStack technology allows the depth and energy of these micro-channels to be precisely tailored — meaning the “drills” can be adjusted to create controlled treatment at specific depths within the skin depending on what we’re treating, from surface texture to deeper lines and scarring.
Drug Assisted LASER Facial:
For patients seeking next-level optimisation, we can pair CoolPeel™ with Laser Assisted Drug Delivery (LADD). Because fractional CO₂ creates uniform micro-channels, targeted actives can be applied immediately after treatment to support specific concerns — such as pigmentation, redness, texture, scarring or intensive post-laser recovery — with the potential for enhanced penetration and performance. Depending on your skin analysis and goals, LADD may include carefully selected topical hyaluronic acid for hydration and barrier support, peptides and collagen-supporting complexes for regeneration, salicylic acid for acne-prone and congested skin, and specialist retinoid-based protocolsintroduced at the appropriate stage of healing for texture and tone. In selected cases, we may also use regenerative options such as PRP or PRF, and advanced micro-dosed approaches such as highly diluted botulinum toxin (meso-toxin style)where suitable and clinically appropriate. The result is a highly personalised resurfacing plan: the right laser settings, the right depth, and the right “active of choice,” delivered where it’s needed — for brighter, smoother, tighter, healthier-looking skin that continues to improve as collagen rebuilds over the weeks that follow.
Combination Treatments:
One of the greatest advantages of SmartXide CO₂ laser resurfacing is its ability to be fully customised and strategically combined with other advanced skin treatments for enhanced, targeted results. At Clinic M, we frequently tailor your CO₂ laser plan to work alongside treatments such as medical-grade chemical peels (including glycolic peels), either during the same appointment or as part of a staged treatment programme. This combination approach allows us to address multiple layers of the skin — improving surface brightness and texture while also stimulating deeper collagen renewal. When appropriate, pre-treatment exfoliation can help prepare the skin, while post-laser protocols can further enhance penetration of active ingredients using laser-assisted delivery techniques, making it especially effective for concerns such as acne scarring, pigmentation, sun damage and uneven skin tone. This integrated approach creates a personalised rejuvenation pathway, delivering smoother, clearer, more radiant skin with results that continue to improve over time.
Radio Frequency:
To enhance results even further, we can combine CO₂ laser resurfacing with advanced radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening. RF delivers controlled heat into the deeper layers of the skin to support collagen contraction and new collagen formation, helping improve firmness, laxity and facial contour. Used in the same appointment (when appropriate) or as a staged treatment plan, this combination targets both surface renewal and deeper tightening—ideal for patients looking for a smoother texture and a noticeably firmer, more lifted appearance.
Skin Analyser to Document Results:
We use our advanced Skin Analyser to document and track your results throughout your treatment journey. By capturing detailed before-and-after data, we can objectively measure improvements in key concerns such as pigmentation, redness, texture, pore size, hydration and sun damage, ensuring your progress is clearly visible and clinically monitored. This allows us to refine your treatment plan over time and deliver a truly personalised, evidence-led approach to long-term skin rejuvenation.
Madonna Eyelift:
A major advantage of the Madonna EyeLift CO₂ laser is that it can be combined with Laser Assisted Drug Delivery (LADD) to further optimise outcomes in this delicate area. Because fractional CO₂ resurfacing creates precise micro-channels in the skin, targeted active ingredients can be applied immediately afterwards to enhance penetration to specific depths, supporting faster recovery and more focused correction of concerns such as fine lines, crepey texture, pigmentation and under-eye skin quality. Using the SmartXide CO₂ platform, treatment depth can be carefully controlled, allowing LADD to be maximised in a highly tailored way—making this an advanced, evidence-based option for patients seeking next-level peri-orbital rejuvenation with powerful but manageable downtime.
Post LASER Skincare & Aftercare results:
At Clinic M, we recommend AllSkinMed collagen-specific homecare ranges following laser resurfacing to support healing, strengthen the skin barrier and protect newly treated skin while collagen regeneration takes place. These targeted formulations are designed to calm inflammation, optimise recovery and reduce the risk of sensitivity or pigmentation issues, helping you achieve a smoother, healthier and more resilient result. Just as importantly, SPF is absolutely essential after any laser treatment—the skin is more vulnerable to UV damage during the healing phase, and unprotected exposure can compromise results and increase the risk of pigmentation. Daily high-protection sunscreen is non-negotiable and should never be underestimated as part of your long-term laser rejuvenation outcome.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best facial for me?
Consultation is the key, unless you already know what your skin type is; oily, dry, flaky or combination, each skin analysis will lead us to a different treatment; therefore, we need to know what your skin objectives are prior to making a choice.
Is there a standard ‘go to’ facial?
Yes. Absolutely. The Coolpeel, without a doubt. It works. It is the best resurfacing tool any practitioner can have. It can resurface the skin from little to fully ablative, its versatile but amazingly effective and results are an absolute.
The workhorse facial is the Nd YAG Laser genesis facial. This is something that should be done regularly, works at a cellular level to keep the skin turnover neatly at 6 weeks. It’s gentle, no downtime and works.
What is the difference between Hydrafacial and Diamond Glow?
DiamondGlow is the only medical dermal infusion machine on the market. It is massive in America whereas Hydrafacial is mainly marketed in this country. DiamondGlow is more a corrective treatment and will bring the skin back to healthy, whereas Hydrafacial is more of a water-based more gentle facial making DiamondGlow the much better option. DG is an advanced skin resurfacing technique that goes deeper than just exfoliating the skin’s surface, meaning you get better more visible results from your treatment.
DG lasts longer too with results lastly approximately 6-12 weeks, whereas Hydrafacial will last approximately 1 week.
What is the best acne facial?
To get acne under control we need an antibacterial laser treatment combined with some effective products. Once we have the skin under control we use a combination of MicroTox, ablative and PRP to ensure we do not damage this skin any further.
How often would you advise getting a facial?
Skin cell turnover is every 6 weeks therefore depending on how good you want the skin to look you need to be doing ‘something’ effective every 6 weeks. Normally, I suggest every two skin cycles on people who have things well under control and are in a good basic skincare package; it lengthens the time between facials. Retinol and growth factors with anti pollution SPF is a must..but that is another subject!
What is your most popular treatment?
Coolpeel by a country mile. It is just fantastic, followed by the DG and Laser Genesis. Another big one is a photofacial to deal with thread veins and pigment. It is a winner and again, hugely instant visible results. This facial needs to be maintained with creams to suppress pigment but, once you have had one, you won’t need another for a whole year.
