About us
Set in the beautiful parkland of Dochfour Country Estate, home of Lord and Lady Baillie, Clinic M Medical is located just 5 miles west of Inverness City Centre.
What does the M stand for in Clinic M; it stands for Michael, my dad. I built this clinic in memory of him, for people just like him, people looking for alternatives and choices in their medical care. An opportunity to feel supported and advised independently in potential treatments not available via the NHS.
With state-of-the-art equipment in diagnostics, surgery, aesthetic treatment, and physical rehabilitation, Clinic M Medical is Inverness’ first & only private medical healthcare facility. Providing an extensive range of medical and dermatological services we hope to bring good health and wellbeing to all.
Our team shares a combined 60+ years of experience within the healthcare sector, with several of our Consultant Surgeons recognised as experts in their fields.
Working closely with our patients, we advise and consult on a plethora of health services. From initial assessment (consultation), to treatment with aftercare and follow-up review as standard; we aim to have the same person in charge of your care, from start to finish.
Our goal is to provide patients with a comprehensive health care plan that involves all available treatments options; from basic standard techniques often to more advanced innovative treatments that are only available via a private medical pathway. Treatments are evidenced and leading in the field of medicine, allowing each person peace of mind, happiness, and the opportunity to have control of their health and wellbeing without having to travel further south.

Clinic M Medical continues to invest in the local health economy. We are the first and only clinic in Scotland to independently own an Open MRI Scanner. We have recently added brain scans to our service list and body density scans to our treatment menu.
Clinic M already provides ultrasound imaging which although sufficient for the majority of injuries, a comprehensive, thorough diagnosis and baseline assessment prior to intervention is essential in taking out the guess work of injury management. Our MRI scanner is an open scanner, designed to make the MRI experience a pleasurable one. Unlike traditional ‘tunnel’ MRI systems, our MRI is tailored for scanning patients in weight bearing positions. By allowing patients to be scanned whilst lying down, it provides an ideal solution for individuals who experience claustrophobia, anxiety, or those with larger body types or limited mobility.
We are the first and only clinic in Scotland to lead a Specialist PoTS Clinic with our very own Dr. Mehran Asgari; Consultant Cardiologist. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS) is a chronic, multi system disorder involving the autonomic nervous system with an estimated prevalence of 0.1%-1%. It usually affects adolescent girls and young adult women. By definition, PoTS is described when we see a sustained heart rate increase of 30 beats per minute or more in upright position associated with orthostatic symptoms, without a clinical meaningful decrease in blood pressure. Symptoms have been present for 3-6 months. PoTS is more common in females, aged 15-50 years old.
We are now able to provide a DVLA Consultant Cardiologist Service which includes a 12 lead ECG Treadmill Stress Test, Echocardiogram and Tilt Test with our other Consultant Cardiologist Mr. Zaid Iskander.
Our well educated Physiotherapist Rory has 2 MSc degrees behind him. One in Neuroscience and the other in Physiotherapy. He will be managing our new Pain Clinics alongside our Multidisciplinary Team. He will be able to refer patients directly for MRI Scanning or for our pain injection clinic.
